The quad laser cannon and the gunner area for the outer hull is in with the first month’s shipment. While I still get my modelling space put together, I decided to start some steps here. I removed the view port frame, which is rotated about 15º off from where it should be. The details of this are in a video produced by Model Space USA featuring De Agostini by Steve Dymszo, co-founder of Master Replicas and Quantum Mechanix.
He’s one of the people who examined the ILM filming model for the Falcon in ESB. I’m sure I’ll refer to him again many times in future posts.

I also filled in the pre-molded damage on the armor with some model putty. Apparently the damage isn’t movie accurate, so I’ll be adding my own later on. I also intend to repaint everything as I go. I still need to get some primer and put together a painting location in my garage for all these parts.
