This kit is half of an intended Hoth diorama. In Empire Strikes Back, there was a brief shot of a small 2-legged walker that was just referred to on set at the “Chicken Walker”. While this was a different shape from what we would later see as the AT-ST in Return of the Jedi, I wanted to reference that in my own way.
- Battle of Hoth AT-ST – 6And here we have the grand finale. The model has been modded, painted, assembled and weathered. “But wait!” Someone may hypothetically shout in an over-dramatic fashion, “Wasn’t this supposed to be a Hoth diorama? Where is the snow you misrepresenting hack!” Well, first of all, let’s not get personal. And next, that was the ...

With the plug that leads to the LED, I was able to make some parts more modular so I could plan things out and get to them easier. Next came the chin cannons. I took a similar approach to Tagamo Modelworx ...
- Battle of Hoth AT-ST – 1Here’s the first part of my documentation of the Hoth campaign AT-ST build I did. This is the lovely Bandai 1/48 model kit, to which I modified rather heavily to be able to house the electronics for gun sounds and lighting chin cannons. The electronics came pre-built in a Jango Fett blaster pistol keychain I got ...
